Hi!!

We have just got our own blog started!!!

This will be our platform to exchange ideas on the initiatives undertaken by the Kutumb Foundation.

However, all of you are welcome to contribute with your ideas and thoughts on anything and everything that affect you and move you.

So now lets begin blogging for Kutumb!!!

The various programmes and initiatives of the Kutumb Foundation are:

Indradhanush: The alternate-remedial education programme.

Goal of Life: The football/soccer based life-skills programme.

Josh-e-Umang: Cultural initiative of Kutumb Foundation that promotes theatre, puppetry, dance, music and so on, as a medium to educate and build capacities in children and young people.

Hilley-Ley: An extension of Josh-e-Umang. Hilley-Ley is the Kutumb Foundation's Annual Cultural Event

Active Pluralism in Campuses: Through Active Pluralism we attempt to move towards a truly plural society where different identities can coexist in harmony. Thus Active Pluralism promotes understanding and respect for the differences between the different cultures, ethnicities and communities. It focuses on colleges/campuses as it is here where a lot of us for the first time come into direct contact with people from ‘other’ cultures, religions and ethnicities.

Manchale: The Kutumb Foundation's very own music band. The band celebrates music and makes it the medium to reach out to people with songs that are socially relevant and meaningful.

For the time being it is these programmes that we are currently working on. Some more are being finalised and as soon as they materialise, we will update you about them. With time we promise to come up with more programmes to address the issues and concerns especially related to the children and young people living in the margins of our society.
